ABOUT

The first thing you need to know about the +Ones is that we're friends. Old friends. This may seem like a small thing but it's a big deal to us because it explains why we smile when we play.

the band

The core band is composed of five members – three of them multi-instrumentalists – but our standard setup is keyboard & male vocals, female vocals, guitar, bass and drums. We can also arrange a separate horn section if needed. We pride ourselves on our flexibility – both musically and logistically – so are always keen to hear about any function you might be interested in having us play. Priority No. 1 is crafting a musical experience that perfectly fits your event and the (dancing!) needs of the audience. Over the years we’ve played everything from weddings to micro-pubs, charity balls and closing parties for top West End shows.

BACKGROUND

Our friendships extend back to primary school days but we began our musical adventures playing together in a local youth music trust – one of the best in the country we're proud to say – honing our skills in orchestras and chamber groups. However, the lure of guitars and sweaty live music venues proved too strong so we soon began gigging in various rock and pop bands across London – eventually coming together in a group that formed the basis of the +Ones today.
